RCC in the Verge of Improvement

 

The Rockingham Community College nursing program has received the N.C. Board of Nursing’s full approval after improving its scores on nursing exams. RCC student’s scores failed to reach the mark in 2006 in RN and LPN and RN in 2007. However the dean of RCC’s Health Science Division, Tom Harding says that all health science educational programs, such as LPN and RN programs receive ongoing accreditation based on the outcomes defined by a governing body.

 

The state nursing board took the RN program off the warning status before its three years average pass rate met the board’s mandated level. RCC’s associate degree program demonstrated significant progress in meeting the NCLEX Standard.
