The latest additions in the National Institute of Nursing Research are the Dean of the Indiana University School of Nursing, Marion E. Broome, RN, PhD, FAAN, and the Director of the Navy's Human Research Protection Program, Capt. Maggie L. Richard, RN, MSN. She is PhD also. The institute is helping in research to develop clinical practice as well as in preventing disease and disability. They will also take measures in managing and eliminating illness, assisting individuals and families.
