Rockingham Community College’s nursing programs are no longer under warning status with the N.C. Board of Nursing. The state board had placed the college’s program on warning when the result slipped in 2006 and 2007. Scores on License Practical Nursing Exam fell in 2007.
Once a program is on a warning status the state board starts thinking whether to provide full approval based on a three-year average of student pass rates. Since the result last year where 100 percent of registered nursing students and 93 percent of licensed practical nursing students passed the state board exam on the firs try, the board removed RN program from the warning status.
