Nursing is becoming more evidence based. The more knowledge we can get the better we can care for patients. It is a great opportunity. UW-Eau Claire nursing Professor Lee-Ellen Kirkhorn and senior Jill Tapper are looking for women between 40 and 65 years old to participate in a study to prove the benefits of exercise and social engagement on mood and well-being.

No such study has been done in the past. There have been many experiments done to understand the effects exercise on the very young and the elderly but very little research has been done on the middle age. They add stating that this type of scholarship is necessary for nurses in caring for women.
